THAILAND IS EATEN IN BITES!
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to my blog for another week!
This time I'm here to talk about and share my weakness for Thai Cuisine and everything I learnt about it on my recent trip to this magical country full of exotic ingredients, lots of freshness and incredible flavours.
Thai food dishes have their meaning in the mixture of four foundamental flavours: salty, sweet, spicy and sour. The combination of these flavours is one of the keys to their distinction from the cuisines of other countries and regions.
The main ingredient in Thai Cuisine is rice, which can be eaten as a soup, fried or simply cooked white. Other common ingredients used in Thai cuisine include garlic, peppers, lemongrass and fish sauce.
To start the day, there are several typical and traditional breakfasts in Thailand. But if I have to choose one of them, I personally choose the Khao Khai Chiao, an omelette with white rice that is usually eaten with chilli sauce and cucumber slices. It's a hearty and slightly spicy breakfast, It gives you strenght and vitality for everyday tasks and best of all, it's delicious.
If we are talking about a main course for lunch or dinner, there are also several interesting proposals. Without a doubt, a Tom Yum soup to whet the appetite is essential. It is an extremely spicy and sour soup made with chicken, beef or fish broth, coriander, mushrooms and lime. These flavours combined with chicken, beef or prawn cuts offer balance and a myriad of nuances, typical of Thai cuisine.
All this accompanied by Sang Som (rum distilled from sugar cane) and finishing with a sweet dessert such as Look Chop (a type of marzipan made from bean paste sweetened with green soy) is one of the pleasures to round off a good day in Thailand.
Because Thailand is eaten in bites!!!
