Although a lot of people have no clue, Russian cuisine was thousands years ago, inspired from Asian cultures. This amazing geography Russia has, and the extension of land, seas and mountains, has made this country a gastronomy expert.  Maybe you never thought about Russia; we as Europeans, sometimes think that Russia is just a big country next to us, and it’s true, but we've never really got into it. Join me as we embark on a journey through the incredible streets of Japan. Takoyaki: The octopus Delights Our first stop is at the takoyaki stand. Takoyaki, meaning "octopus balls," is a savory snack originating from Osaka. These filled balls wonders are made from a batter of wheat flour, dashi (a Japanese soup stock), and, of course, bits of tender octopus. Cooked in specialized round molds, they are flipped until golden brown, resulting in a crispy exterior and a soft center.
